Baby Hammock Installation

We trust you will enjoy and appreciate your hammock, and believe it will become an essential piece of baby equipment for you and your family.

Age: Newborn until baby's length is past snaps.

*Attention: As baby becomes more active please place a safety pin in between snaps.

Weight: 0kg - 15kg (Please note, the baby hammock has been safety approved up to 50kgs)

Please read the following instructions and installation information carefully so your baby is always kept safe.

Note to consider before installing:

• Please ensure that baby has a clear space around where hammock is hung, so that baby does not bang against any objects. e.g. walls and doors.
• REMINDER: Only install hammock into joists and make sure hook is properly inserted into ceiling.
• Please fill in the 5 year warranty form so we can continue to assist you should the need arise.

Washing Instructions

Use mild natural soap solution on a dry soft cloth to clean all parts. Wipe away any moisture with dry soft cloth.

Storage and Maintenance

When not in use, please store in a dry area away from dampness. Check hardware monthly while in use.

PARTS SUPPLIED WITH HAMMOCK:

STEP ONE:

Remove all parts from plastic protector bags.
Keep all plastic away from children.

Check that all parts are included (see check list above).

STEP TWO:

Using a 6mm drill bit, drill hole into ceiling joists (solid timber ceiling frame not ceiling lining eg. plasterboard).

Screw hooks into hole ensuring whole length of screw thread is in timber.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE HAMMOCK IS DRILLED INTO CEILING JOISTS.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN BODILY HARM.

STEP THREE:

Make sure there is a spring clip at both ends of the spring. Ensure that both spring clips are attached to each end of the nylon strap and spring.

STEP FOUR:

Hang chain from hook using the chain to adjust the height to your needs.

STEP FIVE:

Once chain, spring and spring clip are hanging, take body of hammock and hang the snaps facing you. Clip the spring clip onto circle ring of the hammock.

STEP SIX:

Place mattress into body of the hammock. Ensure that the tip of mattress is placed by top seam, inside the body of the hammock.

STEP SEVEN:

Place wood separator about 14 inches (35cm) from the circle ring and the top edge of the hammock until all of the material fits snugly into each groove.

Slide the wood up or down and straighten mattress are confident that the hammock is stable and straight.

Placing Baby into your Baby Hammock

Once all parts have been assembled, open domes and you can begin to place baby into the hammock. Before placing baby into hammock, you may want to practice with a doll until you are comfortable.

Hold baby safely with one arm, either close to your side or on your hip. With the other arm keep hammock steady. Place baby into hammock ensuring that baby's head is up as far as possible to the top of the mattress. Baby's feet should be at the snap end of the mattress.

Make sure baby is lying straight in hammock. You may need to adjust wood separator and mattress until it is straight.

Once baby is comfortable and blankets (if required), are placed, then fasten snaps.

WARNING: PLEASE ENSURE ALL SNAPS ARE SECURELY FASTENED WHILE USING HAMMOCK.
